KP Law has filed a multi-billion-pound group action in the High Court against Johnson & Johnson, representing over 3,000 individuals and families affected by long-term use of the company’s talcum powder products.

KP Law has filed a multi-billion-pound group action in the High Court against Johnson & Johnson, representing over 3,000 individuals and families affected by long-term use of the company’s talcum powder products.

The claim alleges that Johnson & Johnson knowingly sold talc products contaminated with carcinogenic fibres, including asbestos, from 1965 to 2023, despite internal warnings and mounting scientific evidence. The company only withdrew its mineral talc from the UK market in 2023 - three years after doing so in the US and Canada.

Claimants report developing serious illnesses including mesothelioma, ovarian cancer, and other conditions linked to asbestos exposure. The legal action includes claims in negligence and deceit under the Fatal Accidents Act 1976 and Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1934.

This is the first group litigation of its kind in the UK, and a Group Litigation Order has been applied for. Individuals who believe they may have been affected are still able to join the claim by clicking here: KP LAW – Join the Talc Scandal Claim
